Broker Network Member honoured at awards ceremony

West Yorkshire broker and Broker Network Member, Lockyer Insurance, has been highly commended in the annual Insurance Times Awards.

Lockyer was one of five finalists in the running for the “Independent Regional Broker of the Year” category. The awards are designed to celebrate exceptional achievement throughout the insurance industry, and culminate in a glittering awards ceremony.

To prepare for the event, each nominee was asked to produce a presentation to show in front of the panel of judges. The Network team were involved in this process from the beginning and worked with Lockyer to create a competitive, well-structured presentation.

Lockyer was pipped at the post by Romero Insurance Brokers, but was highly commended by the judges following a rigorous assessment process.

Jon Newall, Principal of Lockyer Insurance, said: “This is the first time we’ve entered the awards and we’re thrilled with our commendation. Getting this award proves that being a Full Member of Broker Network enhances your independence. Whilst the team at Lockyers have produced great results this year, I don’t think we would have achieved so much without the support of Broker Network.”

Paul Roberts, Customer Services Director for Broker Network, said: “This category is all about the importance of remaining independent and serving the local community, which they clearly do very well. It also helps to highlight the vital role of Network Membership which supports a broker’s independent status, rather than detracting from it.”
