Behind every great Network, there’s an even greater team of industry professionals. Our team of experienced Directors have each played their part in the success of Broker Network, and with such a wealth of broker knowledge and impressive employment history it’s easy to see why.  The team is backed up by 172 staff with expertise in each discipline.

Nick Houghton - Managing Director, Network Division

Nick joined the Network Division in November 2008 from Towergate Professional Risks where he had worked as Managing Director (May 2006 – October 2008).  Whilst there, in 2007 Nick was named one of Towergate’s MD’s of the year. Prior to that Nick worked as a Regional Sales Director for Towergate’s North Retail Division and had spent 6 years in sales for Alexander Forbes and Marsh. Nick successfully completed an executive diploma in management studies in 2008 in which he was voted student of the year.

Richard Shannon - Finance Director, Network Division

Having qualified with Ernst & Young in 1990 Richard is a chartered accountant. Before joining Broker Network, Richard was the Regional Finance Director for the Northern Region of the Towergate Partnership Limited for three years. Richard has enjoyed a number of senior finance roles for O2 and Unigate PLC as well as being the Customer Service Director for Convergent Telecom Limited. Richard also holds a PGC in Education.

 
Scott Bennett - Sales Director, Network Division

Scott joined the Network Division in April 2009 from Towergate where he worked as Regional Sales Director for Towergate’s North Retail Division. Prior to that, Scott had spent 13 years working as an Area Sales Manager for Hill House Hammond. In 2008, Scott successfully completed an executive diploma in management studies.

Paul Roberts - Customer Services Director, Network Division

Paul joined Broker Network in 2007 following 20 years in insurance broking. He has since filled many of the Management roles within the organisation together with external appointments across the wider Towergate Group. Paul achieved a Distinction under the IOD Diploma in Company Direction programme in 2004.
