Here at Broker Network we’re proud to say that our ‘family’ has a fierce fundraising spirit. All across the Network from our staff to our Members, Broker Network Partners, and Partner Insurers there is a strong sense around doing our bit for charity and trying to make a lasting impact on our local community. Last year saw us drumming up cash for a much-loved and worthy cause, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, where the whole Network joined in to try to make a difference.
Our members of staff were good sports and took part in all sorts of initiatives from decorating boiled eggs to look like their colleagues, to eating an awful lot of pancakes. Every member of the team has contributed to our fundraising efforts in one way or another, whether by baking cakes, taking part in our Dress Down Fridays or trying their luck at our annual Christmas raffle.
Our Members and Partner Insurers are very much a part of our fundraising efforts too and deserve a pat on the back alongside our staff. In fact, their generosity at our National Conference Gala Dinner in 2016 was nothing short of stupendous, raising thousands of pounds in just one evening, which made a huge impact on our charity tin.
And of course none of this would be possible without the never-ending dedication of our Charity Committee, who tirelessly organise events and beat the drum to remind us all of how we can do our bit.
All of this is to say a huge thank you to everyone who came together with us to raise just short of £8000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance – our Members, our Partner Insurers, our people, and our tenacious Charity Committee.
We’re pleased and humbled to say that Yorkshire Air Ambulance have actually already said thank you on our behalf by awarding us an award for ‘Outstanding Corporate Support’ for 2016 at their Recognition Awards in York on the 19th October; but of course it bears repeating.
So – thank you; and a big well done to all involved!
